Meet Dandelion – A Survivor Ready to Bloom When Dandelion first came to us, she was a shadow of the dog she was meant to be—emaciated, nearly hairless, and completely shut down. Whatever her past held, it had left deep marks. But Dandelion didn’t give up. And with time, patience, and love, she’s begun to bloom into the gentle, resilient soul she truly is. Today, Dandelion is soft and steady, with a calm presence and a heart full of quiet hope. She’s house trained, crate trained (though she doesn’t need to be crated when left alone), and knows several commands like sit, down, and back up. She’s currently working on “stay” and “drop it” and learns quickly—especially when treats and praise are involved. She loves backyard zoomies and a good game of fetch, but she’s just as content to curl up nearby and soak up your affection. With other dogs, she can be selective and would do best either as your one and only, or with a calm, compatible companion after a proper introduction. Because of her past, she’d thrive in a home with older children who can respect her boundaries and help her continue to feel safe. What Dandelion wants most isn’t much: a yard to run in, a routine she can rely on, and someone who sees her for the brave, beautiful soul she is. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
