My story

On today's to-do list for Mika: snuggle, cuddle, wiggle, snort! Honestly, doesn't sound like a bad day for Miss Mika, but there's one thing that would make it a whole lot better- getting out of the shelter and into a safe warm home! Mika is the sweetest gal who is sure to greet you with butt wiggles. She loves everyone she meets and really just wants to spend her time snuggling! Sweet Mike was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. She's now available for adoption at ACCT Philly- you can meet her any day from 10am-6pm! When I approached her kennel, she had a very loose and wiggly body, and she patiently waited for me to open the door. Incredibly easy for leashing I just had to stick my leash in and I easily looped her neck. Leash: On leash she had some minimal pulling, but responds well to leash pressure. Handling: Outside in the play yard she was calm and very sweet. Sniffed me a lot and very focused on me. Takes treats very gently and seems to know sit! Super sweet girl and pretty low energy. She was panting hard after just a few minutes outside so we came inside and she just sat next to me. Takes Pets all over with a very wiggly body and solicits them all over. Very comfortable with the new handlers in the volunteer office. Super easy and laid back girl! Color: Gave her a gold sticker, very easy just some pulling Play group 7/2/25: Somewhat steerable w/ water, good greetings, social, curious Per Volunteer 7/2/25: I walked her this morning, so her crate could be cleaned, she was easy to get in and out, walked on a loose leash , was calm and easy-going, with middle tail, wagging, soft eyes, ears back.
