My story

On 7/7 I visited Tiara at her kennel. She was standing at the front, eyes wide, pupils dilated, tense. I offered treats which she accepted. I moved slowly and opened the door and offered more treats and she seemed interested in come out and allowed for some slow, gentle petting. FAS 3 On 7/5/25 I was able to get miss TIARA out into a play yard to see her behavior. In the kennel I had to put on a really squeaky voice for her to come across the divider for me to leash her. Once I had her on the leash, she walked well on the leash but was still unsure (having her tail tucked and eyes were dilated). In the play yard I did take off her leash but did it carefully since she gave me a side eye look when approaching her neck. She mainly did her business and walked around for a bit smelling everything. I had a couple treats which he ended up snatching quickly since I had them laying on the bench. I did not attempt to pet her since she was not that interested in me. Putting her back on the leash I tricked her by placing a treat in the middle of the leash I placed on the ground. Walking back to her kennel she did fine and taking off the leash she did better since I was touching her back with the end of the leash. overall rate: 7/10, needs to be more socialized and have more 1 on 1s with people.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt TIARA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
