My story

Meet Max, a 1-2 year-old, 45-pound darling boy! He thrives on human company and loves to shower you with affection. With a daily routine filled with outdoor play, training sessions, and cuddles, Max is ready to be your loyal sidekick. Max would be the best companion for an active person or family and would love to go with them wherever they go. He sits quietly during car rides and wants nothing but to be by his human's side. He can also be left alone in a comfy crate for extended periods without experiencing any anxiety. With just a bit of work, he has been making progress with his leash walking and will continue to thrive with training and patience. When he gets familiar with dogs he wants nothing more than to play with his friends. He has a pleasant and silly demeanor with his good canine friends and can be quite the social butterfly. Max's fosters shared that he is housetrained and he's great around people. He does really well with the other two resident dogs. His fosters have been doing a wonderful job in helping him with his leash skills (they even hired a trainer to make him "super-adoptable!) and not getting ruffled by other dogs who pass by. We are looking for his forever family to keep up with those efforts to ensure positive outings for all! If you're interested in providing this adorable, affectionate guy a forever home, please submit an application and a volunteer will be in touch! (AL)

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Max, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
