Hi humans! My name is Tabatha and here's some more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Chihuahua mix Age: 3 year 6 months approx. Gender: Female Weight: 8.5lbs (4 kg) Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - My foster had noticed me living rough on the streets with my puppy for 6 months before trying to catch me. Although we snuck away from them for awhile, eventually they were able to scoop us up and bring us to their home. It became clear right away that I was a true little survivor who had had many litters of babies in my years, as well as an excellent mama dog/protector of my puppy, Mani! Although Mani and I were scared for the first couple of weeks, eventually we were able to feel completey safe in our new environment and our loving and playful personalities began to show :) Now Mani and I are looking for our very own home (ideally together as we are bonded), where we can continue to shine! TEMPERAMENT - I am a very smart, sweet and friendly pup with a little bit of a hunter spirit inside me which has been nurtured by my years living on the streets (i.e. I like to chase squirrels!!). I am good-natured and I am generally submissive around new pups but I can get defensive if they don't act friendly towards my baby. I LOVE to get treats almost as much as I love chasing squirrels! Other things that make my heart happy are: Playing with my friends and Mani, a comfortable bed, and the zoomies! Note that I can get a little excited on a leash when I see other pups and I can bark at them - I would work best with an adopter who can work with me through this. ENERGY LEVEL - Medium/High GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Yes! I currently live with cats. PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills, however I may need some additional patience and training :) House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Car rides – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed and vaccinated. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live. WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##2446118##
