Meet FAITH Currently in Mexico – ready to travel to the PNW with a commited trial family Adoption Fee: $600 Apply at: www.northwestwagrescue.org Basic Info Name: FaithAge: ~3 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 18 kg / 39 lbsBreed: Husky (medium, slim build)Color: Black and white Health & Wellness Spayed Fully vaccinated Heartworm negative Personality & Behavior Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: Yes – older kids preferred; proper introductions are important Good with cats: No Barks a lot? No – she’s a quiet girl Resource guarding: None observed, but it's best to feed separately during the trial period Shedding: Regular brushing is recommended Energy level: Low to medium. She enjoys activity but is also happy to relax Crate-trained: Yes – primarily used for travel Potty-trained: Yes – she’s very clean and adjusts well to indoor environments Rides well in the car: Yes Leash-trained: Yes – but as a typical Husky, she has an independent streak and a high prey drive. Always walk her on leash and never leave her unattended in unsecured areas. Living Style Faith currently lives in a shelter-style daycare and does well in that setting. She enjoys the company of other dogs but also values her alone time. She is independent, clean, and respectful of her space. While she can stay alone for short periods (4–6 hours), she thrives on activity and companionship. She should not be left for extended hours without stimulation. A secure yard is a must, as Huskies are known escape artists and natural runners. Temperament Faith is sweet, friendly, outgoing, and surprisingly trusting of people despite a difficult past. She gets along well with other social dogs but would also do well as the only dog in a home that offers structure, activity, and love. True to her Husky nature, she needs regular physical and mental exercise to stay balanced. Whether it’s hiking, running, or adventuring together, she loves being part of a team – especially your team. Ideal Home Faith is looking for a Husky-savvy family who loves the outdoors and understands the needs of this active, intelligent breed. She will thrive with someone who includes her in their daily routine – whether that’s long walks, outdoor adventures, or regular playtime. A city home with access to parks or a rural home with space to roam (safely) would both work for her. She’s adaptable, loyal, and eager to bond with her forever family. Her Rescue Story Faith’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. In August 2023, she was spotted wandering the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico, with a severe eye injury – likely caused by a deliberate kick. Despite unimaginable pain, she kept going. Thanks to a compassionate NWR rescue partner and the support of Northwest Wag Rescue in Seattle, she received immediate medical care. Her damaged eye was removed to prevent infection, and her recovery was remarkable. Today, Faith doesn’t let her past or her missing eye slow her down. She’s a resilient, joyful girl with a heart full of love and a future full of hope. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share your life and adventures with, Faith may be the one. She’s ready to start her new chapter – could it be with you? Apply to adopt: www.northwestwagrescue.org They are currently in Mexico awaiting a family committed to a 10-day trial. If interested, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org. The adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccines, a negative heartworm test, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. ##2093860##
