My story

Name: Ladybug Breeds: Pit Bull Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Female Size: Medium Hi all! My name is Ladybug. AKA Bug, Slug Bug, Snuggle Bug, Baby Bug, June Bug, Bed Bug... You get the picture. You are probably wondering how I ended up in rescue and to be honest, I'm not really sure! I'm 35lbs and absolutely, positively bug-sized. I'm guesstimated to be around a year old and have been working hard on learning manners in my foster home. I'm very smart and a quick learner. While I am very receptive to direction, I will find trouble if left to my own devices so I will need continued training- what can I say, I'm still learning the ropes! My foster says I have a lot of drive and desire to do things. So far, I've been introduced to fetch, frisbee, spring pole and dock diving. I LOVE to swim- add Water Bug to the list of nicknames!! My foster suspects I would do well in dog sports as I have high energy and high drive. While in foster, I will continue learning foundational skills for a few sports should my new owner want to do those activities with me! I do have a nice off switch when my mental and physical needs are met. When I have been exercised, I will snuggle up on the couch and watch movies with you all evening. I am 98% housebroken, crate-trained, ride nicely crated in the car, and have been exposed to cats. I am still learning proper kitty-manners and will need a dog-savvy handler to provide additional structure if I go to a cat-inhabited home. I have been great with dogs of both sexes, although I don't appreciate super pushy, rude dogs and will get uncomfortable. I love rough and tumble play with like-minded friends who aren't too over-the-top. A dog companion would be cool in my forever home if they are like me and want to play! (I would probably annoy an older, more calm dog with my puppy-like antics.) I have not yet been around children, but due to my puppy-like behavior and manners that are a work-in-progress, older kids may be a better choice for me until I learn better impulse control as I like to jump. I'm a bit of a bull-in-a-china-shop, so littles would be bowling pins for me. If I sound like the bug you've been waiting for, I'm ready to find a new home to invade! Submit an application today! Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 6 months of age, deworming, microchip and current preventatives Interested in adopting?
