Blackberry

My story

Blackberry is named for the Blackberry Farms jam company. He is part of a whole family of large fluffy cats with short faces and long tails. They all share too many genes, some of which may be Persian. We don’t know exactly how Blackberry is related to any particular family member. Is Smuckers his brother/father/son/nephew/cousin? We know Valencia is not his mom, but is she his sister, half-sister, or daughter? Fortunately, everyone in the family is now altered, so no need to try to sort out the genetic relationships of any more potential offspring! Really, it doesn’t matter. Blackberry arrived filthy, matted, and scared, but he is now one of the most outgoing and playful of the family. He goes wild for wand toys with feathers. Just make sure you are actively paying attention or he will try to eat the feathers after he catches the toy! Blackberry likes being combed, except his belly, and is a sucker for pets and treats. We estimate this striking boy was born about March of 2023. Blackberry is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
