My story

Meet Autumn! She's an 8 month young pup - weighing just 40lb she's the perfect size to snuggle right into your lap and your heart! Autumn was found as a stray and arrived to the shelter on 9/18. She's a very sweet and gentle girl who needs some emotional encouragement in new places! When Autumn first got to the shelter she was a scared pup in the shelter environment and would often freeze or hide behind your legs. Now Autumn has opened up so much and shown us how goofy she is! She loves playing with toys and being a care free pup running around. Autumn has met some other dog friends while in the shelter and we think she may enjoy the companionship of another dog in a home with slow introductions. Autumn is eligible for Foster! Read on to hear more about what Autumn's Shelter Friends have to say about her -- Per Staff 9/19: Autumn is so so sweet and gentle. She is very affectionate with her handler and wants to be right in your legs/lap. She allows all over handling and although she can sometimes lower her head and push her ears back, she solicits more always. She also freezes sometimes and avoids eye contact, she gets nervous easily and is a big people pleaser. She is prone to hiding a bit, and likes the comfort of being underneath chairs/behind your back. She absolutely loves treats and takes them extremely gently. Per Medical Staff 9/18: Autumn is a sweet girl but a little shy. She allowed an handling needed for intake exam and took treats gently and sat on the ACA's lap.
