Emmylou

My story

Emmylou has the bravest and gentlest heart. She has certainly been through a lot and still learning how to come out of her shell everyday. Her progress in her first month with us has been incredible. She can be distrustful of humans at first, but eventually warms up and allows you to love her and handle her all over. Her dogs are her people. She feels safest around other canines and once comfortable, is an active player and runner. For this reason, she will need to be in a loving home with at least one other dog, if not more. She is potty trained, but we’re also working on outside not being such a scary place. Loud noises can be overwhelming. A home without young kiddos is probably best for her. For this reason, she would do best outside of the city environment, ideally with a fenced-in yard. Emmylou is cat friendly, dog loving, and learning more every day about the goodness in humans.
