Meet Emmett — A Gentle Giant in Need of a Healing Home My name is Emmett. I'm a big, grey tabby—about 20 pounds of fluff and love—with soulful eyes and a heart that’s been through a lot. I'm four years old, and until recently, I had a person who loved me deeply. A couple of weeks ago, my world changed forever when my human died by suicide. Now, I’ve lost not just my person, but my home and sense of safety. I don’t understand what happened. I’m scared, grieving, and confused. But somewhere inside me is still the sweet, loving cat I used to be—I just need time and kindness to feel safe again. I’m looking for a quiet, patient home where I can start to heal. Someone who will let me take things at my own pace, and offer gentle love while I figure it all out. I may need a little extra understanding right now, but I promise: when I learn to trust again, I’ll be the most loyal companion you could hope for. If you have a calm space and a compassionate heart, I could really use your help.
