My story

Sweet Nudge is a handsome senior gentleman who can’t wait to find a loving home! This 56-pound cutie was found near a playground and was brought to our shelter, but his family wasn’t found. He loves to go on walks, and rides nicely in the car. He also knows some commands such as sit, down, and paw. He takes treats gently, and gives sweet kisses. Nudge has been a volunteer favorite for offsite Power Hours since he is so well-behaved. He has gone on several outings, including to Frying Pan Park, Starbucks for a Puppuccino, and Aquatic Paws to walk on a water treadmill. He is interested about meeting other dogs, so if you have dogs at home, we recommend bringing them to visit to help ensure compatibility. Nudge is sure to nudge his way into your heart, so come and adopt him today!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
