My story

*** Oliver & Mouse are in a foster home. ***Oliver #19685: brown tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 7/1/24Mouse #19686: black/orange/white calico, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 7/1/24Cats: **BONDED PAIR**, good w/others Dogs: probably notChildren: savvy elementary+BACKGROUND: Young siblings Oliver and Mouse came from a home where their guardian had a medical crisis needing long-term hospitalization. When they arrived in Rescue House foster care, Mouse was heavily pregnant and soon gave birth to five kittens. Having done her duty raising them, Mouse and Oliver are back to being a duo and ready to find a loving home together!PERSONALITY: Oliver and Mouse are youthful and playful kitties who share a close connection. Mouse relies on Oliver. They play together and groom each other’s faces and are just adorable.---Oliver is a gregarious fellow who is happy with all humans. Laps are where he’s comfortable, plus (of course) the accompanying pets and scritches (he likes vigorous back-and-forth rubs). He does like to make the choice to claim your lap vs being put there. Toys that skitter across the floor grab Oliver’s attention, and he’ll employ his loud voice to talk to seemingly nobody and nothing… maybe ghosts?---Mouse needs time to adjust to new places and people. She appreciates if you will let her sniff your hand before petting her; it helps her feel comfortable and she’s more engaging with that reassurance. Once settled in, Mouse will sit on your lap and enjoys being held for short periods whether you are moving around or standing still. She has a dainty voice that she uses now and then, and she is energetic and persistent when catching string toys.---Oliver and Mouse MUST be adopted together.COMPATIBILITY: They do well with other cats. We don’t know about dogs, though suspect not the best fit unless a very calm/senior one. Since loud noises and jerky movement startle Mouse, young children are not recommended; cat-savvy elementary-aged and up kids who understand that and can allow her to gain confidence and respect her personality should be okay as Mouse enjoys attention from people she gets to know. Oliver and Mouse make a marvelous pair!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mouse, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
