My story

MEET MATER!!! Mater is a one-year-old Red Heeler with a big heart and even bigger energy! While he can be a little shy at first, once he’s comfortable, his fun-loving personality shines through. He absolutely loves playing with his foster sisters — both big and small — and would do well in a home with other dogs, as long as introductions are done slowly. This smart boy has already mastered the basics (sit, lay down, come, stay) and even taught himself how to use the doggy door! He’s good on a leash, though his excitement to explore means he’ll benefit from continued training and structure. Mater is high-energy and thrives in an active home where he’ll get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him out of trouble.
