My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.It could be with you! Click here to learn more about the adoption process!Frank was inside the den, appearing fearful with large pupils and an alert expression. He barely sniffed treats but put his nose up to my thumb and then allowed gentle cheek rubs while remaining nervous and concerned. He's a sweet cat who's going to need time to warm up to his new home.Frank interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, and tolerates some petting. We recommend that Frank go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes: Not every cat has a big in-your-face personality, at least to start with. Frank, for now, prefers to sit in his box and take in the world around him. He made eye contact with me and gave me slow blinks while remaining calm. Although he never directly came forward for attention, he accepted my head pets graciously, although remaining still. We are working to help Frank become comfortable and come into himself each and every day so that he can grow more and more confident to let his personality shine and become more relaxed. Frank was found by a good Samaritan and is around two years old. We are so proud of him for how brave he has been in this new situation and environment which we understand can be a bit scary.
