My story

Meet Phoenix šŸ”„ The Chicken-Loving, Dog-Disdaining Orange KingAge: 4 yearsBreed: Orange TabbyStatus: Neutered and very particular about his lifestylePhoenix is not here for your nonsense—but he is here for your chicken. šŸ— With the quiet confidence of a seasoned house panther and the culinary standards of a Michelin-starred cat, Phoenix lives life on his own terms.🐾 Dog Tolerance: Low... but negotiablePhoenix is not what we’d call a ā€œdog guy.ā€ He’s been burned before. BUT—if you’ve got a polite pup who knows the meaning of personal space and approaches Phoenix like a visiting royal dignitary, he might allow a truce. No sudden zoomies. No uninvited sniffs. You’ve been warned.šŸ½ļø Fine Dining OnlyPhoenix does not do dry food. His body rejects it like a bad Tinder date—fast, and with dramatic consequences. His ideal meal: pulled rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods, warmed gently with broth and a splash of water like the prince he is. He prefers his meals moist, tender, and presented with love (or at least competence).šŸ›‹ļø Loner Vibes, Big HeartLike most cats, Phoenix enjoys being alone—but not lonely. He’ll curl up in random corners, monitor the house from secret spots, and occasionally appear to demand affection or a status update on his chicken supply. He’s not clingy. He’s independent. And honestly? He’s thriving.Phoenix is perfect for a calm home, ideally dog-free or with a pup that acts more like a houseplant. If you’re into peaceful cohabitation, mutual respect, and rotisserie runs, Phoenix is ready to be your regal roommate.Adopt Phoenix. Worship accordingly. šŸ”„To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Once your application has been processed, we'll be in contact. We cannot schedule a meet and greet without a completed application. Please go to http://ootwrescue.org/adoption to fill out an application or review our Adoption Process.Cat adoption fee is $100. Dog adoption fee is $150, unless otherwise specified.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Phoenix, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
