My story

Say hello to Velveeta! This little cheese puff has a backstory that’s as wild as the desert she was found in. Velveeta was spotted wandering out in the middle of nowhere until a kind stranger scooped her up and brought her to safety. She had a microchip, but the story only got stranger from there: her original owner had given her away five years ago, and when contacted, both they and the new people she’d ended up with said, “no thanks.” Unbelievable, right?But Velveeta? She didn’t let any of that phase her. She’s made of something a little stronger, maybe love, maybe resilience, maybe just pure, melty magic. The good samaritan kept her safe and then eventually brought her to us, and now this sweet girl is ready for the home she’s always deserved.Velveeta is about 8.5 years old, 17.5 pounds, and low to the ground in the most adorable way. She is obsessed with cuddles and takes her snuggle sessions very seriously. She’s calm, affectionate, and has the kind of warm presence that makes you feel lucky just to sit beside her. She does great with kids and small dogs, though she can be a little bold with big dogs at first - someone forgot to tell her she’s tiny!Curious and low-key, Velveeta loves leisurely walks where she can stop and sniff every leaf, and she’s always down for a good sunbathing session. She’s not high energy, just high sweetness. Velveeta has been passed around, forgotten, and discarded, but somehow, she’s still smiling. Let’s make sure she never has to wonder if she’s wanted again!
