My story

Pickles is a sweet, confident gentleman with a big heart and a bigger purr. Found charming the residents of an apartment complex in Hermosa Beach, this outgoing guy clearly missed being someone’s beloved companion. Though no owner came forward, Pickles never stopped believing people are the best—and we agree. From the moment he arrived in foster care, Pickles was all-in on love. He’ll bump your legs, fall dramatically against you, and hop right into your lap to initiate his signature routine: purring, kneading, and soaking up attention. He’s incredibly gentle—even when he’s done with belly rubs (yes, he likes belly rubs!), he offers a polite nibble to let you know he’s all set. Pickles enjoys independent play with springs and ping pong balls and can often be found perched by a window or lounging at the top of his cat tree. He’s food-motivated, Churu-obsessed, and delightfully cooperative when it comes to nail trims and wipes. While he’s been a total sweetheart with humans, Pickles is a little uneasy around the resident cat in his foster home. He’d do best as a solo cat or with a very slow, respectful introduction to a mellow feline friend.
