My Friends at Wayside say: •I am working on house-training. Can you teach me? My home needs are: •I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. • New people and things make me a little nervous. A quiet home environment is recommended for me! •I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days so we can meet! Hi there, I’m Tony! I’m such a good boy! I’m friendly and affectionate and so much fun. I make everyone laugh when I start squeaking my stuffy toys. They’re my favorite and they make me so happy. I’m timid and shy at times, too, and I’m still trying my best to figure out this thing called life. It hasn’t been an easy one for me. Hopefully now that I’m here at Wayside, that’s all about to change. I believe that this is where I was meant to be so that we can find each other! I hope maybe you need me in your life just as much as I need you.I’m an adorable, 1 1/2-year-old, 46-pound mixed breed, with perky, expressive ears, gentle eyes, and a charming, delightful personality. I’m pretty sure that I’m already housebroken, too, because I keep my kennel area very clean and I know to go to the bathroom when I get outside. Please stay patient with me when we get home, as an adjustment period is normal, but I should be well on my way to no accidents, once I learn my new routine. I came to Wayside as a stray. It was awful out there on the streets all by myself with no one to care for me or show me love. Still, though, the big shelter is so scary, too. It’s noisy and chaotic at times, with so many new people and dogs coming and going every day. I hope I don’t have to stay here for long. A quiet home with someone I love sounds like heaven to me. I’ve been busy making friends with the volunteers. They love to spend time quietly sitting with me, and it makes me feel happy when they talk sweetly to me and let me know that they care. Once I’m comfortable with you, I like to lean in for pets and attention. I will thrive in a positive environment with patient, calm people. I’m a sensitive soul, so please don’t ever be harsh with me. If you praise and encourage me when I’m a good boy, it will help me learn what you expect from me as my confidence builds.
