I’m such a nice puppy! I’m sweet and affectionate and so much fun. There’s no place I’d rather be than right by your side as you pet me and talk sweetly to me. Life can be scary at times, but I’m brave and resilient. I’ve just been through a lot of change and instability in my short life, that’s all. There is so much that I haven’t experienced yet. With a little time and patience, I’ll make a wonderful companion for you. All I need is a chance to shine! I hope you decide to give that to me.I’m a darling, 6-month-old, 38-pound mixed breed pup, with perky ears, a big, bright smile, and a delightful personality. I’ve been working on house training, too. Please stay patient with me as I settle in with my new routine, as an adjustment period is normal. I’ll try my best to follow all of your rules! I came to Wayside when my previous owner wasn’t able to keep me, due to landlord issues. It has been a scary and confusing time for me. I just want to be a typical, active pup, living the good life with people I love. The noisy shelter isn’t really part of my plan, although my friends tell me this is where I need to be so that you can find me. Okay then, I’m waiting for you now!Once at Wayside, I joined their LIFT University program, to help dogs like me learn that the world isn’t as scary as it sometimes seems, while also learning to control my impulse to be jumpy and excitable. It’s hard for a puppy to stay calm, but I’m working on it! Wayside uses positive reinforcement training, and I am thriving. If you stay patient with me, offering me plenty of praise and encouragement when I’m a good girl, I’ll learn what you expect from me as my confidence builds.
