My story

Hello World, meet our quirky and beautiful little friend, Tipsy! She is a quiet and sensitive cat who may take a while to warm up, but her gentle and loving nature is worth the wait. We are looking for a patient, kind, indoor home to help her continue to gain trust and blossom into the amazing best friend we know she will be. She is being emotionally rehabilitated in a wonderful, experienced foster home in Bluffton. Tipsy came to AAC after being abandoned at a local trailer park (where AAC does TNR and feeding). She began life as playful and happy kitten and then was tossed out when she became an adult cat. Tipsy was understandably scared and confused outdoors, but still was friendly and brave and loved any attention she could get. Soon after her abandonment, she was bitten by a snake. She recovered at the vet, but does now have some neurological damage that manifests in a slightly tilted head/neck. She is not in any pain, has no special medical needs and the vet said it may resolve on its own. She doesn't seem bothered by it and can do everything a normal cat can. Tipsy is a super sweet cat and has never once shown any sign of aggression. She is getting used to pets but does freeze when new people approach, so we think she was harmed by humans at some point. When she trusts you, she loosens up and actively tries to get more attention. Tipsy's foster mother said that she loves getting her favorite treat, Churu, and waits each day for snack time! She currently is being fostered with another cat who was at the same feeding site. They are friends, but not bonded. Tipsy may be good in the home with an existing cat and a mindful assimilation or would really thrive as your one and only. Tipsy is about 2 years old, fully vetted, FIV/FeLK/HW negative, and has perfect litter box manners. If you are interested in adopting this sweetheart, kindly fill out our required application: https://form.jotform.com/231967731104152 For the safety of our cats, home visits are a requirement of adoption, but we make it as convenient and unobtrusive as possible.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tipsy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
