My story

Every foster dog finds a place in our hearts, but some leave a mark so deep, their memory will stay with us long after they have found their forever family. Chloe is that dog! Chloe is about 12 months old and is an apricot Goldendoodle. She weighs 40 pounds but will likely gain 10-15 more before fully grown. She is great with other dogs, both large and small. She gets along with cats and has no problem napping on the couch alongside one. She is gentle with young children and basically not bothered by loud play. And although humans failed sweet Chloe she loves every one she meets. Have I mentioned that Chloe is housebroken? And she is crate trained and sleeps all night in a large crate. Chloe has been learning to ride comfortably in a car with her foster family and she settles down very quickly and seems to really enjoy it. She also enjoys walks with the family dogs and is learning to do well on a leash. She is not food aggressive and gently takes treats. She is quite calm for a young doodle but loves playing with other dogs. She would love a doggy sibling. She NEEDS a doggy sibling! Chloe would benefit from some training as she was never taught simple commands such as ‘stay’ and ’sit’. She is eager to please and should be able to learn very quickly with lots of patience. She also counter surfs just because she has never been taught otherwise. She is a love bug and wants to be in your lap or right next to you on the couch so that she can give you all the kisses. She is very gentle and doesn’t jump but rather climbs very slowly as to make sure she is welcome. If you are interested in adopting Chloe please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chloe, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
