My story

Meet Davy Jones! This quiet, sweet 38-pound boy is shy at first and prefers to hang back, but with a little patience, he warms up and leans in for gentle affection. He`s not the kind of dog to run up to you but once he trusts you, he’ll be a loyal, loving companion.Davy is sensitive to loud noises and fast movements, so he’s looking for a calm home with an experienced owner who can help him build confidence. He’s still young and would benefit from continued training. If you have a soft spot for shy pups and the time to help him feel safe and more confident, Davy Jones might just be your hidden treasure. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
