My story

Playful Taz came to the shelter as an under-socialized kitten with his brother, Kiwi. These lucky boys got to spend some time in foster, adjusting to life with humans. Their foster parent had the following to say about them:These two boys are so fun to hang out with. Full of lots of energy, they play with any toy. Initially fearful, they adapted to the room very quickly. It took them some time to get used to me. Kiwi purrs as soon as someone he knows pets him. Taz can be a little more worried about pets, but has come to appreciate it when it`s calm and initiated slowly. Play and food is definitely the way to their hearts. Kiwi loves to climb on people, and Taz was just starting to appreciate this activity, but it`s time for them to make these improvements in their forever home/s. They were separated very, very briefly and immediately started crying, especially Kiwi. We think they would do best as a bonded pair, as they check in with each other before exploring, and Taz will often follow his brother as the braver Kiwi goes to investigate something.Based on their bond in their foster home, we are hoping to rehome these two together, and as such, they have a special family adoption fee. Because he can be a little worried about pets that approach quickly, at this time HSBV will only rehome Taz to a household without children under 8.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Taz, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
