My story

Sunny Breed: Shepherd/ Husky mix Gender: Male Weights: 13.12 lbs Age: ~4.5 months Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: Yes Energy level: Medium Health Concerns: None known HW status: Negative Spay/neutered?: Yes (fully vaccinated too & microchipped) Tell us about this dog: Meet Sunny — A Tender Heart with the Brightest Soul Sunny’s story began in a place no living soul should ever know—a cardboard box, left in a dumpster with his sisters. But even in that moment of heartbreak, this little boy held onto something powerful: hope. And now, thanks to love and rescue, Sunny is safe… and slowly learning that the world can be a wonderful place after all. At about 13.12 pounds, Sunny is the largest of his siblings, but also the most reserved. He’s a Shepherd/Husky mix, a combination known for courage, loyalty, and intelligence—but beneath all of that, Sunny is a gentle, sensitive soul. He may not be the first to run up and greet you, but when he decides you're someone he can trust, his whole being lights up. He gives the softest, most heartfelt kisses. He wags his tail with such joy when he sees you. And in those moments, you’ll know—it was worth the wait. Because when a shy dog chooses you, it’s not out of impulse. It’s real. It’s lasting. It’s love in its most honest form. Sunny gets along beautifully with other dogs and is kind with cats and children. He watches everything with those big, soulful eyes—taking it all in, quietly learning, slowly building the courage to step forward. He’s not timid forever; he’s just waiting to know he’s truly safe. And once he knows that… he blossoms. Puppies like Sunny need more than a home. They need a promise. A promise that they’ll never be tossed aside again. That someone will go slow, speak softly, and love fiercely. That their little hearts—once so hurt—will be protected and treasured every single day. Sunny is looking for a family who understands the magic of patience and the reward of unconditional love. If you're willing to give him the space to grow and the safety to shine, he’ll become your shadow, your comfort, your sunshine. He may have come from the darkest of beginnings, but with you, Sunny could finally step into the light.
