My story

Hi there! My name is Ricky and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 7 year old, male, German Shepherd who came to SB Humane in search of a loving family to call my own. I'm a gentle and sweet senior shepherd with a heart full of quiet love, and who still has a playful side too. One of my favorite things is a good game of fetch, and my eyes light up when the ball comes out. I also enjoy peaceful walks, soft beds, and simply being near my people. My calm and loving presence, along with my playful spirit, make me a special companion. I am ready to find a home where I can relax, be loved, and chase a few tennis balls along the way. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
