My story

Mae is a tender and curious cat who was found with her sister Maggie on the roof of a building in Cairo, NY. While she’s more nervous and shy than her sibling, Mae’s gentle spirit and sweet nature are unmistakable.Each day, she’s growing a little more comfortable in her new surroundings—watching with wide eyes, slowly exploring, and beginning to trust. With the right home and a patient, kind-hearted adopter, Mae has every chance to bloom into a loving and loyal companion. She’s already showing signs that she’s ready to take that next step (like give gentle licks on our hands when petting)—she just needs someone to show her she’s finally safe.June 26, 2025, 11:19 am
