My story

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  FIV/Felv negative. Meet Kiki — A Survivor Who Deserves a Soft Landing  Sweet senior Kiki came to us from an overcrowded Philly shelter, thin, matted, and in terrible pain from severe dental disease. His time there was nearly up — simply because he needed medical care.  Thanks to our amazing team, Kiki got the second chance she deserved. He had full senior bloodwork, which showed early-stage kidney disease (stage 1-2), likely from the neglect he endured. He’s now on a special K/D prescription diet and doing beautifully.  We removed his painful premolars and molars and gave her remaining “teefs” a little sparkle. And guess what? He’s so much happier and eating like a champ! Kiki (12yrs) is finally feeling good — and now it’s time for him to feel loved. He deserves a warm, quiet home, gentle snuggles, and someone who sees the beauty in giving a senior cat a second chance.
