Introducing Dr. Pepper – the fizzy, friendly, four-legged goofball who’s here to add some serious sparkle to your life! 🐶✨ At just 10 months old, this long-legged lovebug is equal parts silly and sweet. His Foster mom calls him “a hoot” — he’s got the joyful energy of a toddler who just discovered a trampoline. Dr. P is a total people-pup who warms up to strangers quickly, loves being around his humans, and is learning how to play politely with other dogs. He’s also making big strides (literally—have you seen those legs?) when it comes to stairs, crate time, and quiet time. So far, not a single bark has been heard from this charming soda pop. Still working on his potty training and leash skills, but he’s smart and eager to please—two great ingredients for success. Dr. Pepper is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, so he’s looking for a Foster-to-Adopt home to help him through it. The rescue covers all his care, which includes: • 🩺 30 days of oral meds (already in progress!) • 💉 One injection + one month of crate rest • 💉💉 Two injections back-to-back + another month of crate rest Treatment will be done through our vet partners in Grafton or Franklin, so local adopters are ideal. If you’re ready to welcome a leggy little loon who’ll make you laugh daily and snuggle up sweetly at night, Dr. Pepper is the prescription you didn’t know you needed. 🐾❤️ If you are interested in finding out more about Dr. Pepper, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Dr. Pepper is being fostered in Arlington, MA. The adoption fee is $600. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dr. Pepper, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
