My story

LET'S HAVE AVO-CADABRA FUN!  DOB 4/5/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Chip, a precious, tiny, and adorable grey tabby gal who, along with my bonded brother Guacamole, comprise the #avo-cadabra kids. I guess you’d say that I’m addicted to my foster pawrents. My favorite napping spot is draped somewhere on top of one of them. It’s fun to be part of a pile of kittens who snuggle with them on the sofa while we all binge on Netflix or Animal Planet. Often when I see Foster Meowmy, I turn on my purr motor, roll over at her feet to expose my cute belly, and invite a little tummy-tickle. I’m also like Meowmy’s little shadow who meows as I follow her around the house with my purr motor turned on full blast. I always hope that I can attract her attention for a quick pet or snack. And when she arrives back home after being gone, I join the crew of foster kittens who come thundering down the stairs to greet her and assure her that her companionship has been greatly missed. I’m the “baby” of my litter and of my foster mates because I’ve always been the smallest. When I was younger, I used to wait my turn at the feeding station, and Guacamole and the older foster kittens used to push me aside and gobble up the food. I’m generally submissive, so I didn’t mind, but now that I’ve gotten bigger, I’m becoming more assertive. Actually now I try to hold my own, and I even try to keep up with the big kids by running around with them. Our feral momma gave birth to Guacamole and me in Foster Meowmy’s back yard. When we were four weeks old, Meowmy scooped us up and brought us inside to the safe haven of her home. We were bottle-fed babies, so we are used to being handled a lot. Even though we’re weaned, it’s still a real treat for Foster Meowmy to give us a bottle as if we were still babies. Boy howdy! Is there a plethora of cat toys here in our foster home – feather wand-toys, the tower-track of balls, shoe laces, and even the tall scratching post. We put every toy to use, but chasing each other through the cat tunnel is Guacamole’s and my favorite! We’re expert soccer strikers as we bat jingle-balls and plush toy mice around the house. Even without the toys, we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other (as well as another month-older pair of foster kittens); when we’re exhausted, we all collapse in a kitten puddle. We get along great with the resident dog as well as the adult cats. And when I want some quiet time separate from the kitten mayhem, I like to grab a little cat nap by lying on my favorite squish-mallow pillow. Now I’m ready to grace my forever family with my tiny but powerfully adorable presence and endearing cuddliness. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today. Although we’re available separately, consider adopting me with Guacamole. We agree that it’d be #avo-cadbra lot of fun to be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0531-CO45 Chip’s $100 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Online application: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Chip will be this week-end, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com , and a volunteer will get back to you.  June 25, 2025, 4:30 pm
