6 year old Madison is the sort of dog that has a gentle, openhearted and soulful energy that persists during difficult times. Madison has been in and out of a shelter for a while now. Despite this, people have so many good things to say about her and it seems to be just bad luck that has caused her so much change in her life.Madison has lived with small children in the past. She is completely housetrained, and she absolutely loves a good play session with tug toys or balls. She is very clever and knows sit, down, come, shake, stay, and roll over. She has lived with other dogs (and does very well with small dogs) in the past and would love to meet any potential canine siblings!Madison is accustomed to being groomed and is calm and tolerant with being bathed and having her nails trimmed by a trusted person. She is kennel trained, and is fine with being left alone for a few hours every day. Here is a little write up about her that we were provided with:“She is a girly girl, loves sitting with her paws crossed, she has a sweet, goofy, and playful energy. When she is around new people, she gets a little nervous at first but once she is comfortable she wants all the pets and belly scratches she can get and cannot wait to show off her favorite toys. She has no issue resting a paw on someone to let them know she demands some tummy rubs, she also loves to be snuggled. She does get the zoomies a few nights a week, they come very sporadically and last just a few minutes, it gets her remaining energy out for the day right before bed time. She loves laying in her bed that looks out a large set of windows and watching everything that goes by. She is super lovey and loves to be outside, a home with a backyard for her to run and play would be ideal, or a very active person that does not mind bringing their pet along with them.”Madison has a few needs for her forever home: she prefers to live without cats. She can be shy around new people and would appreciate meeting people in the home before being adopted so she feels safe. She is nervous around the staff and volunteers that are walking her but she has warmed up a lot to some of them and loves cuddles and attention from them. Madison is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and ready for her forever home! Come meet her at KCPP Main Campus today!
