My story

Snuggles A17467956 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -Timid but oh so very sweet!-Walks slow and steady on a leash. Partly because he’s nervous. He cautiously explores and takes in his surroundings. Walks behind you often and needs reassurance.-The only thing he’s interested in, is crawling up as close as he can to you-He wants all the pets and snuggles he can get-Once he was more comfortable and relaxed I laid on the floor. He had lots of tail wags and he came and curled up with me. Then finally gave me a kiss. 😘 -He’s trying so hard!-No interest in treats or toys currently-Just needs time, patience and lots of love!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
