OLLIE

My story

Ollie - 2 year old, male (soon to be neutered), Husky/Terrier X Ollie is one of the “Modesto 3” that we just transferred in from Stanislaus County Animal Services. He was not going to make it back to the adoption floor after biting the hand of someone playing Milkbone tug of war with him. That certainly wasn’t his fault, but it was an on-record bite so he was deemed unadoptable. We have established that he is indeed food protective; he takes treats very gently but if food drops on the ground and you reach for it he sometimes has an instinct to go for your hand. It likely has to do with him having limited food resources in this past. Upon meeting him, you’d never guess this fun living guy was ever in the predicament of fighting for his life. Ollie is full of smiles and energy and would appreciate having a buddy dog to run laps with. He should not go to a home with kids or cats given his occasional possession of food/treats.
