Contact to learn more!* Shrek may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but makes up for it in charm, sweetness, and pure, unbothered bliss. He’s like a living weighted blanket—soft, calming, and always lounging. With what we lovingly call “swamp brain,” Shrek may occasionally forget why he walked into a room, but he’ll wag his tail the entire time he’s in it. He’s a gentle, affectionate soul who gets along great with other dogs, is kid-friendly, and thrives in a low-key environment with minimal expectations. Enrichment toys and puzzles? Not his thing—sometimes he struggles just figuring out where his own feet are. Imagine a content potato melting into the corner of your couch, and you’ve got the idea. Shrek’s perfect day involves snoozing next to you while you work from home or contemplate house chores you have no real intention of doing. He’s looking for a home that’s low on activity but high on cuddles, where he can be forever off-duty. If you’re ready to add some extra love (and a little less brainpower) to your life, Shrek might be your guy—no fairy tale required. Shrek is a 3.5-year-old French Bulldog rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Shrek is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He has not been tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, June 28. We are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants during the week of June 23-June 29.
