Matilda

My story

Matilda is a shy 5-year-old dog in search of a quiet, understanding home. She’s nervous and easily startled by loud noises like thunderstorms, so she’d do best in a calm, adults-only environment. Matilda isn’t housetrained yet and may take her time adjusting to new routines. She got along well with another small dog in her foster home and could be a good match for a laid-back canine companion. Matilda needs patience and a soft place to land; she deserves a home that will go at her pace.Did you know?!  I am a ‘Have a Heart` fund recipient.  I have heartworms that will need to be treated in the home, but through this fund, the Humane Society of Charlotte has a voucher to assist with fees for the treatment. The treatment at their partnering vet clinics is done at a reduced rate for our adopters.  Our partner clinics will provide me with top notch care and support during the treatment.  I am in need of an adopter that will maintain a great relationship with my vet to help get me heartworm free!All adoptions are handled on a first-come, first-served basis at our Adoption Center, located at 1348 Parker Drive. No appointment is needed to meet your future furry friend! Hours: Sunday–Thursday 11 a.m.–5 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.–7 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
