Meet Rebecca! A pup so sweet that her foster has started to call her Shuggs instead! Rebecca is the softest, sweetest, most mild mannered canine you will ever come across. With one look into her precious doe eyes, you will be hooked! She is a gentle lady who only wants to love and be loved. If you are looking for a companion to pass the days with in serenity, then you've come to the right profile. Rebecca is the definition of soft life and she is ready for her happily ever after! We believe that Rebecca is a pittie/lab mix around 3 years old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. She is the perfect petite pooch package! Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. So we just call her our Texas Special, the very best breed! Watch sweet Rebecca in action here: https://youtu.be/nhlkEfkwpSE Rebecca was destined to be a couch cuddle bug! The softness of her fur makes it very apparent! When she gets close to her human, she just wants to be around them all day. She does this sweet thing where she puts her paw in her person’s hand or lap and just stares at them for sweet assurance that they love her! Her love language is definitely physical touch! I can see her thriving in a home where soft tunes are always playing and the couch or porch is always readily available for some quality time to spend together. She would make the perfect buddy to relax with as you read a good book or sipped your morning coffee while watching the sun rise. Rebecca is always trying to achieve space in the zen zone and doesn’t seek the wild life by any means. She definitely has the personality to thrive as a solo dog. She would not attest to being her owner’s sole pet to love and dote on! But, she can also exist peacefully with other canines if they allow her to have her space and can match her chill energy. She is currently being fostered in a home with 5 other dogs who are lower energy and they do great together! They can be seen laying around in the grass or doing relaxed trollops in the backyard. If she is feeling spicy that day, she may even join them for a quick game of catch! We believe Rebecca would do well in a home that had a low/medium energy dog that will allow her to relax when she wants to. As far as cats, she lives with six at her foster home and she appreciates their calm energy. She is considered cat friendly and will do well in a home with a dog savvy cat that will let her just live her best life. Rebecca would thrive in a home with a yard and a fence over an apartment lifestyle. She would even thrive as a country girl, just soaking in the serene soft life. The hustle and bustle of city life and apartment noises aren’t her vibe. She hasn’t been around any younger children, but does well with her foster’s teen kids! We believe that Rebecca would do best in a home with older kids who know how to properly enrich a gentle girl like herself. Overall, Rebecca is a dream come true to the owner seeking a companion to love them with their whole heart! Rebecca is not short of affection and will make the bestest of friends! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
