My story

Meet James, a sweet and soulful 5-year-old, 25 lb Beagle who’s the perfect blend of snuggly companion and curious explorer. This gentle boy has quickly adapted to apartment life and is happiest when lounging in his bed—or even better, curled up next to his person on the couch soaking in belly rubs and ear scratches. James is house-trained, food-motivated, and has shown he’s eager to learn—he already knows “sit” and is working on leash manners using clicker training. Like any classic Beagle, he has a strong nose for adventure (and snacks!) and loves his daily walks, though he’s also a certified couch potato once he’s had his outdoor fix. He gets along well with other dogs, sharing space and toys without issue, though he’s more focused on people than playing. James is starting to discover the joy of toys and has been a respectful and sweet houseguest in his foster home. He does occasionally use his Beagle bark when he sees other pups on walks, but he’s improving every day. If you're looking for a cuddly, curious, and loyal best friend, James just might be your guy.
