My story

IDGSR Welcomes ETTA JAMES into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hiya Friends! My name is Etta James and I'm a sweet 6-7yr old female German Shepherd. I am located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 6-7yrs old Kids - would do fine with older kids (10+) Dogs - good with other large dogs Cats - NO cats Training - could use an obedience refresher 1. My previous home was absolutely awful. I was locked in a nasty pen, covered in mud and other disgusting things. I had been bred multiple times and not taken care of. Thankfully IDGSR came to my rescue! 2. I am named after the lovely Etta James jazz singer! She had a sweet personality and so do I! 3. I am looking for a loving person or family to help me live out my golden years. I'm a senior gal and deserve to have a great rest of my life! Could it be with you? 4. My dreams include having a soft dog bed of my own, some tasty treats multiple times a day, having a plush toy to snuggle with, and a hooman to follow around everywhere. 5. I would love to have a clean safe backyard to explore in, sniff all the things, go on the occasional walk around the block (as long as it's not too hot), and to have a comfy place to relax. 6. If you are looking for a resilient, friendly, loving, moderate energy, and overall amazing new companion - I'm your girl! **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our wonderful dogs! Adoption Application: https://www.idgsr.org/apply-to-adopt NOTE: Please remain on the application page until you receive notice your application has gone through.
