My story

From his foster mom: "I've had the pleasure of have Zeus as a roomie for a month and he's honestly the goodest boy with the biggest smile in town! He's the kind of roomie that when you come home the first thing he does is he'll grab a toy and bring it to you as if he knows after having a long day at work, some fun should be had (in fact whenever he gets excited he simply has to hold a toy in his mouth and it's the cutest thing!). He loves playing tug of war and he is not shy of letting you know when it's time to play. Sometimes he'll simply entertain himself but other times he'll bring a toy over and request a good sparing like the gentleman he is. This sweet boy plays hard but he also is a big cuddle bug on the sofa and will just want to just lay his head on your lap while you watch your shows or read a book. He's really good when left home alone, I give him free roam of the house while I'm away at work and he's completely potty trained. This super smart boy has really good recall when we are playing outside and walks well on a leash. If you are into jogging he makes the perfect running buddy and does his best to keep up with his little legs and then will starfish into the floor once making it back home for a proper cool off. Water coming out of a hose or the bath can make him nervous so with some patience and treats, you can give him a bath using a cup/bucket filled with water to pour onto him. I learned the hard way that filling up the bath with water and then putting him in can turn him into a pro swimming which can lead to some very wet floors. Zeus loves people and will become your short legged 50 pounds shadow. He will admire you while you whizz around in the kitchen and even watch adoringly as you do you morning routine waiting patiently until it's time for his own routine. He's a very curious and attentive companion that deserves all the lovings.  I recommend a home without little ones since he can be strong when excited and forgets his strength when playing tug.  He does get excited when seeing other pups while on walks but is easily corrected by simply encouraging him to keep walking on."   Joker AKA Zeus has been in and out of the shelter a few times now. He was recently surrendered to a shelter in Suffolk and has now made his way back to Virginia Beach.
