My story

Hi there, my name is Queen, and I’m a lovable pittie with a big heart and an even bigger desire to be loved. Life didn’t start out easy for me, but I’m learning every day what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and part of a family—and let me tell you, it feels amazing.I love spending time in the backyard soaking up the sun and learning how to be social with my furry friends. I’m still a work in progress when it comes to trusting and routines, but I’m trying hard. I have some separation anxiety, and I’m learning that my crate can be a safe and comfy place just for me. It helps if you’re patient with me—I may need a little extra time, but I promise I’m worth it.I do need to eat separately from other pets, and my foster family makes sure all the food (and the cat box!) stays behind closed doors—turns out I had a bad habit of sneaking cat poop snacks, yuck! I get along just fine with cats otherwise. One of my favorite places to be is on the couch with my toys, getting cuddled and just soaking up the love. I’m super affectionate and well-behaved, and I adore people! I do get a little excited sometimes and may jump up to say hello—it’s just my way of saying, “I’m so happy to see you!” But I’m learning better manners every day.I enjoy leash walks—just short ones, please—and I’m doing really well with my training. One very important thing to know: I have a sensitive tummy and can’t eat pork, chicken, or beef. I’m currently on a lamb and rice diet, and it’s been perfect for me.I’ve come a long way, and I’m still learning what love means. If you have patience, a gentle heart, and a comfy spot on the couch, I’ll give you all the love I’ve got.Adoption fee: $50Queen is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Please fill out an adoption application at https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adoptionapplication/ or contact adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet this animal.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Queen, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
