My story

I bought Roxie 5 years ago as a puppy. I bought her from a breeder in Muenster, Tx. He breeds champion GSPâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s and Springer Spanielâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s. However, Roxie is a mixed breed. She is Springer Spaniel / Golden Retriever. She is house trained and very smart. She loves going on walks and holding hands. She has a fun personality and loves to play chase. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll fetch but gets bored quickly. She is protective and barks at newcomers. But once she sniffs out the situation, she is a big teddy bear. I recently had a 14 yr old cat, and they got along just fine. I also have a male schnauzer and Roxie is cool with him as well. The Reason Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m re-homing Roxis is that my wife recently passed away last year. It was sudden and unexpected. My daughter and I have had our lives turned upside down and honestly Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m trying to make my life easier and less stressful. Between work and caring for my daughter all by myself, its a lot to also make sure Roxie is getting the attention she needs. Plus my travel schedule is picking up with work and Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m constantly either boarding her or asking friends to watch her and my daughter while Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m away on business. I came to the decision that she really just needs a new home. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m planning on probably re-locating and it would make me so happy to find her a great home. Roxie is very good with kids. I used to pick up my daughter from elementary school quite often and Roxie was with me. All the kids loved on her. Roxie likes to howl along with the tornado Sirens. When we go to the dog park, she does just fine and plays with all the dogs. Please help me find Roxie a new home. This will be one more thing off my plate and help me to continue healing. Oddly enough, my daughter did not really bond with Roxie and is okay to re-home her. Please call or text me to set up a meet and greet. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Roxie, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
