Meet Rita, an adorable 10-12 week old female lab mix puppy weighing 10 lbs, with a playful, affectionate, and energetic personality. Despite being abandoned in a laundry basket at a dump in east TN with her two siblings, Rita's life took a dramatic turn when a dedicated TN volunteer was informed of the situation. Sadly, by the time the volunteer arrived, Rita was the only one left. But Rita is now safe and thriving, thanks to her rescuer. This sweet pup loves to play with toys, give kisses, and hang out with humans, and gets along great with dogs, cats, people, and kids of all ages. She's learning to navigate stairs and is making progress with her little puppy legs. Her CT foster raves about her, saying "Rita is the life of the party. She loves playing with her five foster siblings, exploring outdoors, and doing adorable 'sploots.' She's spunky, dances for attention, and spins when she's tired instead of getting up to move - it's the cutest thing! Rita is silly, loving, and deserves the absolute world, won't settle for anything less." Rita is medically up to date, crate trained, and working on housebreaking. With her loving nature, playful spirit, and adaptable personality, she's sure to bring joy to her forever family. Currently in a CT foster home, she's waiting for you to apply and give her the love, snuggles, and forever home she deserves. Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2440139##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rita, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
