My story

Hello, my name is Rose. I'm young, friendly, and as sweet as can be. I love making friends, whether they walk on two legs or four. Kids, dogs, cats, I get along with them all. I have a heart full of love and I'm ready to share it. If you're looking for a loyal friend, a constant companion, and a furry bundle of joy, I'm your girl. I'm also very responsible and can be trusted to be free roam at home - I let you know when I need to go outside to do my business. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will cherish you every day. Rose (aka Mama) came to us from Oklahoma, where it seems like she had been used to breed multiple litters and then was discarded when she had been all used up. Of course they had not spayed her, so she ended up with another litter before our rescue partner saved her. Found in a field in the woods, she was emaciated, covered in ticks and was giving all that she could to her puppies. We got Rose (and her pups) to Colorado and Big Bones, where we could safely have her puppies weaned and take care of Rose’s health. She’s getting the much-needed nutrition she needs now. The Ehrlichia has been treated, and she's shown no side effects. She gets spayed soon and will be ready to find her furever home asap, where she can get all the love and attention she deserves for the rest of her life.
