PEASE NOTE: DEXTER IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE OTTAWAS, ON AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Dexter Age: 1.5 years Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: 25 lbs Location: Ottawa, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes - dogs, cats - yes, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Cute Dexter is a bundle of energy he loves to go, go, go, yet can chill with the family when he gets all that out. He loves his toys and has many “zooms” throughout the day which makes his foster laugh. His captivating eyes and social personality will have you “zooming” around with him in no time. Dexter is very much still a puppy and benefits from quiet breaks in his crate to settle down when he is over stimulated or tired. He can be “mouthy” with people, especially in the situation as stated above. He loves being outside, whether he’s on a neighbourhood walk, playing fetch in the backyard, or curled up next to you on the patio. He loves to feel the sun on his body and breathe in the fresh air. Dexter is food motivated and eager to learn. Professional obedience classes will be must for him, not only because he needs proper guidance, but because he will enjoy and thrive in the structured and social atmosphere that a class can offer. Dexter is house trained and crate trained and his ideal family would be an active one who would love to take him on many adventures, he does have experience camping, hiking, paddle boarding, splash pads. A fenced in yard where he can expend some of that energy would be wonderful. He gets along with other dogs and is respectful with cats as he really has no prey drive, Although he is an energetic boy, he also loves to snuggle up to his foster family after an exciting day. All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.
