My story

Emily is a sweet and affectionate cat who was previously abandoned on the streets of DC. Emily has a timid nature and requires time to warm up to new people and environments. She loves human attention and will approach you for pets and cuddles, but may hide if introduced to new individuals or surroundings too quickly. Once she feels comfortable, she'll insist on being in the same room as her favorite humans and being able to see them. Emily is well house-trained and a joy to have around. She's not interested in human food, doesn't jump on countertops, and is familiar with using a litter box. In fact, she has a set morning routine with her humans, understanding when it's time for breakfast and playtime. And at dinner time, she knows to expect a delicious serving of wet food - and will eagerly await the sound of meal preparation! To thrive in her new home, Emily will need a patient and gentle introduction to her new environment. With slow and steady acclimation, she'll blossom into a loving companion who adores human attention and routine. Emily is spayed, current on vaccines, tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped.
