I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:2Elf is a 2-year-old pittie mix with the softest eyes and an even softer heart. While he's shy at first, this sweet boy is quick to bond with gentle, patient people and thrives with a calm routine. Once he feels safe, Elf's affectionate, goofy side shines through. Shy but gentle – Approaches new situations with caution but responds beautifully to kindness and treats Affectionate once comfortable – Loves to lean his full 30 pounds on you for pets, crawl into your lap, and offer gentle kisses Great leash manners – Walks politely with his person, checking in often for reassurance Dog-friendly – Has done well in calm playgroups with other gentle dogs Sensitive and sweet-natured – Would do best in a quiet home with patient humans June 26, 2025, 12:07 pm
