My story

Hi, I'm Nala. I'm a gorgeous brindle Cane Corso with the softest eyes you'll ever see-they say eyes are windows to the soul, and mine? They've seen a lot. I was surrendered to the shelter after my family had a baby and couldn't keep me anymore. It's been a tough transition, and I'm still learning to find my footing in this new, unfamiliar world. I'm a shy girl - gentle, quiet, and a little reserved. Loud noises and fast movements can scare me, so I need someone who will go slow and give me time to trust. But once I feel safe, I'll inch my way closer, maybe even rest my head in your lap, asking for the love I've been missing. I'd thrive in a calm home, especially one with older, respectful kids who understand that I need a little space at first. If you have another dog, I'd feel most comfortable with a mellow male companion who can help show me the ropes. I'm still working on gaining my confidence every day, and having a patient, loving person by my side would mean the world to me. I may be timid now, but I promise - if you give me your heart, I'll give you mine. Loyalty is something I've never run out of, and I'm just waiting for someone who's ready to return it.
