My story

Male, 1.5 years old, 49 lbs, Collie Personality: outgoing, calm, good running partner, quiet, playful, snuggler, goofy/funny, gentle, and affectionate. Jake is a sweet, goofy, affectionate boy. He sits, cuddles, and lays in the weirdest positions and loves being close to his humans. He is calm but active, and loves playing with other dogs, including his foster brother. Jake is house trained and crate trained. This curious, happy guy loves being outside and really enjoys meeting people. His favorite outdoor activity is sniffing– he likes to know what everyone is up to! He doesn’t bark or whine, but can be quite silly and dramatic. Jake is a smart cookie who already knows the words “sit,” “wait,” and “off." We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
