My story

Currently Located: York, PA

Meet Shepherd!

Shepherd is very friendly, curious, affectionate, clingy, calm, and playful! Her energy level is relaxed but she enjoys occasional play and she’s content with light daily activity.

Compatibility:
Shepherd is great with children and strangers! While we have not seen how she does with dogs, she does well with other cats, overall. She has also raised a litter of her own kittens and was the sweetest mama to her babies!

 Habits:
Shepherd is litter trained and she does great when left unattended, if you leave the house. Although, if you are home, she would prefer to be with you. She is working on some basic commands such as “come,” “off,” (to stay off of counters), and “leave it.” She responds well to correction/redirection and she is food/praise motivated. Such a smart, sweet lady!

Ideal Home:
Shepherd would be great in a home, new or accustomed, to cats. She is very interested in her people and would likely be happy as an only cat. Perfect Home Preparation: Your home should be equipped with: - Litter and litter box - Soft & cozy bedding - Cat carrier for gentle travel - High-quality adult cat food (wet and dry) - Food and water bowls - Toys - Scheduled vet appointment within two weeks
 Included Veterinary Care:
- Microchipped
 - Flea/Tick Preventative
- Dewormer - Rabies & FVRCP Vaccines
- Spayed

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shepherd (Profession Litter Mama), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
