My story

Meet Blackie! Blackie is a sweet and social 4-month-old kitten who was brought in with his mom and three siblings after being found outside during the colder months. He has a wonderful personality—pick him up, and he’ll start purring instantly! As a younger kitten, Blackie had a tough eye infection that took about six weeks to heal. While it left a small scar on his left eye, the infection cleared up completely and, thankfully, his eye didn’t need to be removed. Blackie loves to chat in the car, just to remind you he’s along for the ride. He’s playful and affectionate, especially fond of spring toys and bouncy balls. He gets along great with his siblings and foster siblings, and he does well with other cats, kittens, dogs, and children. Blackie is ready to bring his charm and cuddles to a forever home—could that be yours? HART recommends kittens 6 months of age and younger be adopted in pairs. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Blackie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
